Purim Seudos Distribution 5783
Project Yedid of Misaskim packaged and distributed gourmet Purim seudos to 6,700 almanos and yesomim. They don’t have the means, mood, or mindset to prepare a proper Purim seudah. But with a beautiful meal delivered to their doorstep, they were able to host their family and friends and not have to be anyone’s guests.

Chanukah Packages
In a heartwarming gesture, Project Yedid of Misaskim delivered personalized Chanukah packages to bereaved families. Chanukah gelt for each child, a colorful array of toys and CDs, and a packet of dollar bills bearing the blessings of ten Gedolei Yisrael.

Chol Hamoad Sukkos
Project Yedid organized a spectacular Chol Hamoed Sukkos event for the yesomim. The day started with a bang — a grand carnival with an array of exciting booths. This was followed by a lavish seudas yom tov. After mincha, there was a grand simchas beis hashoeva, accompanied by Benny Friedman and the Yedidim Choir. The children were then treated to a magic show and a performance by the Tantzers.

Before Sukkos, each Project Yedid family received a delightful gift package at their door, complete with games, a puzzle, and a chocolate platter. They also received paper goods, bringing them tangible relief during an expensive month.

Misaskim Annual Tehillim Asifa 5783
The power of Misaskim’s 28th Tehillim Asifa was beyond imagination. On September 29th, during the Aseres Yemei Teshuvah, children from around the globe gathered to daven on behalf of cholei yisroel and others in need of yeshuos. The asifa took place at the Bobover beis medrash in Boro Park. Children from around the globe participated via audio hookup.

Project Yedid School Supplies Distribution
Project Yedid sent out 834 packages of school supplies to yesomim in the tri-state area. Each box was personalized to the child’s age and grade. It was chock-full of up-to-date, shiny, new school supplies. It contained everything the child needed to get a great start in the classroom.

Over 700 yesomim are entering the summer with smiles, ready to face it head-on. Project Yedid of Misaskim delivered an exciting summer package to children in over 10 neighbourhoods, —complete with chalk, bubbles, a 3D pen, and a ball with a pump.

Project Yedid Purim 5782
In a gargantuan undertaking, Project Yedid packaged and distributed a gourmet Purim seudah with food, drinks, tableware, and decor to almost 500 families.
Weeks in advance, invitations were sent out. And in the true Misaskim style, no detail was overlooked. The families were able to choose a menu tailored to their specific needs. Whether it was a certain shechita, a Sephardic menu, or an allergy-related request, Misaskim accommodated it all.
On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, this massive operation came to a head as the orders were packaged and delivered to the homes—all in one night.

Kevura of Rebbetzin Temi Kamenetsky, a"h
The kevura of Rebbetzin Temi Kamenetsky a”h, wife of ybl”c Hagaon Harav Shmuel Kamenetsky shlit”a took place in Queens on Monday. There was a massive turnout and Misaskim was there to coordinate it all. The volunteers braved the bitter cold and were present from start to finish to ensure everything ran smoothly. They also set up hot drinks and pastries for the crowd and cleaned up the mess, ensuring a kiddush Hashem is made.

Pittsburgh
A group of Misaskim Volunteers drove down to Pittsburgh, PA in a show of solidarity for our brethren. The volunteers went to offer any and all moral and technical support possible in dealing with this horrible tragedy. The FBI escorted Misaskim Vice President, Meir Weill, into the shul where the massacre took place to assess what will be needed once the investigation is completed.

Misaskim had a Volunteer Appreciation Melava Malka for Volunteers across the Tri-state area. . . Boro Park, Flatbush, Williamsburg, Monsey, Lakewood, Monroe, Deal, Staten Island, Washington Heights, Queens. Great food by Shimmy's Events, inspiration by R' Aryeh Royde, entertainment by Comedian Modi, Music by Strumz band. A great time was had by all!
