Misaskim Volunteers Dig Grave with Bare Hands
Date: January 22, 2014

This week's snow storm wreaked havoc on the entire region and even forced Misaskim volunteers to remove mountains of snow in a cemetery just to make sure that burial would take place the same day. The story began with the passing of a woman in Long Branch NJ during the height of the storm. But while the family desired immediate burial, the cemetery refused to bury the deceased because of the large amount of snow and inclement weather.

When informed of the dilemma, Misaskim volunteers and family members used shovels to remove the snow from the plot and opened the grave, thereby assuring that the woman would have kvurah the same day.
